MATERIALS
Our medium stainless steel engraved dog tags are classy, finely crafted, and made from the highest and best quality materials. These unique, durable, engraved dog tags are cast from yacht grade duplex 2205 stainless steel at a foundry here in Maine. The duplex 2205 stainless steel alloy we use is unsurpassed for its durable hardness and non-corrosive properties. The alloy is 100% rust-proof (even in salt water). The best of the best, this quality alloy is also scratch resistant, chew proof and will not ever shrivel, bend, blacken, become dull, or wear through at the loop. At 1 1/8″ in diameter, the pet id tags are also thick, measuring the whopping equivalent of two quarters stacked together. A very thick, durable loop insures the pet id tags will not wear through, fall off, or be lost.

FRONT & BACK
The front of the medium stainless steel Bone ID tag has a cute raised graphic of an adorable bone with a paw print! This highly polished Bone stands proudly above a recessed matte stainless steel surface. It gives the tag a real jewelry like, two toned appearance that is truly unique. The matte surface stays matte because it is recessed. The back of the tag holds your engraving on its polished surface.
ENGRAVING
Engraving quality is just as important as the tag design and material itself. The medium stainless steel Bone ID tag boasts 4 lines of engraving which includes 15 characters per line. A pulsed fiber laser is used to deeply vaporize metal from the lines being engraved. The laser process leaves a very crisp, well defined, blackened line behind which is really optimal for readability. A lifetime guarantee accompanies all of our tags and that guarantee includes the engraving as well as the tag.
Also, if for some reason, you ever need to change the information on the back of your tag, we can regrind, polish, and engrave the tag all over again. There is a charge for this service but it insures that you will never have to truly replace your tag. After all, a Silver Paw tag is a “forever tag” that you will eventually cherish even more one day…
Both a split ring and s-hook are included with each tag for collar attachment.

At first I was a little skeptical of the price of these tags. HOWEVER…after spending over $80 (per dog) on tags that either broke or the engraving wore off, I purchased these. I have 2 big dogs that are extremely active. I’ve gone through 4 “regular” tags for each dog. Mind you my dogs aren’t even 2 yet. Heavy duty, riveted on the collar, fancy cute designs, standard pet store tags. They have all broke or been worn down within a couple months. Let me just tell you the first thing I love about this company, the speed in which they engraved and got my tags to me!!! Awesome. Upon opening the package the tags were actually “heavy duty” second awesome!! Third…the engraving on them was deep, my dogs are gonna have a hard time wearing these down. I purchased a medium size tag in the Bone, Paw and Heart shapes for my 3 dogs. These tags are great and I can tell they will last a long long time!!!! Have ordered lots of colorful cutsie tags with sayings on them from other places but they just don’t last! Next time, I will order the large size because my dogs are used to the larger size tags. I found out about your company via a Google search for durable pet tags, because my dog Leonidas kept destroying the cheap aluminum ones they have in the vending machines in the front of pet stores. It’s worth it I went through two tags in three months. One was from Petsmart with their laser etched tags I got scratched within a month and all the valuable information was going away. Then I went onto etsyand found a stamped tag. But the engraving on the back wore off in less than a month.
